2008 LUNAR NEW YEAR UNITY PARADE GRAND WINNER Thanks to generous sponsorship support from parade underwriters, the Lunar New Year Unity Parade Committee was able to initiate a community cultural arts grant program. The objective of the grant program is to provide funds in support of programs and activities that encourage understand of and appreciation for our community's rich heriage of divers cultural arts and traditions. Recipients of 2008 Lunar New Year Unity Parade grants include: - Eaton Elementary School: Supplies for Cultural Enrichment Activities at the School's Communitywide International Day Sincerely, Wendell Stephens, Kevin Wu and Hung Wei
- Euphrat Museum of Art: Greeting Thaumatropes with Multi-Lingual Text for "Building Together", a Collaborative Community Art Project
- Meyerholz CLIP Program: Costumes and Instruction in Preparation for Participation in the San Francisco Lunar New Year Parade and Other Cultural Events including the Cupertino Lunar New Year Unity Parade

Unity Parade is to bring our community’s broad spectrum
of cultures together while celebrating the
Lunar New Year. In
producing this event, we encourage people from all backgrounds to work together as a team and
showcase our diverse heritage in a quality program. We
encourage people of all ethnicities, ages and backgrounds
to participate in this fun event and make it an annual Cupertino
festival for the future.
